The Yellow Ribbon

Have you ever thought of a yellow ribbon being an "Open Arm" yes signs, symbols and gestures, can be shown in many different ways. I never knew the meaning of the song "Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round The Old Oak Tree" until I read the story. Vingo spent many years in jail away from his love one and friends. He refused to tell why he was there. Vingo believed the saying "if you can't to the time, don't do the crime.. His only thought was going home to his family. But that was based on one thing. He told his wife if she would take him back, or if he could be apart of her life, to tie a yellow ribbon around the Old oak, if he didn't see it he would stay on the bus and forget about his life with her. To his surprise there was not only one ribbon, but the tree was covered with them. There was no way he could miss her message. Baby come home.
